Function
The first part of our series of articles
deals with the acquisition of patient
data based on dynamic data, model
fabrication, programming of the articu-
lator and preparation for virtual imple-
mentation.
Individual patient data
More and more restorations are being
fabricated nowadays using a digital
workflowwith material suitable for use
with CAM. In order to fabricate dynami-
cally functional restorations it is still
essential to transfer the individual da-
ta of patients into the CAD software.
The dental technician still requires di-
verse impressions of the patient situa-
tion (Fig. 8), if it was an advantage for
every restoration, the technician would
