Creation of an internal enamel crack
Step 1 Reduction
Depending on the path and length
of the desired enamel crack, the upper-
most layer of the denture tooth is
correspondingly reduced.
Step 2 Surface design
After the tooth has been conditioned
according to the SR Adoro Instructions
for Use, the cut-back area is built up with
SR Adoro Incisal, Effect and Transpa
materials to the height where the enamel
crack is to be incorporated. A surface and
its angle is defined.
Step 3 Staining
The desired SR Adoro Stains are applied
to this surface and tack cured to make
sure that they stay where they are placed.
This procedure allows any number of
cracks to be incorporated.
A natural enamel crack usually features
different shade nuances which range
from white, cream-coloured to orange
and brownish. Its angles show just as
much variation. Depending on the
viewing direction, they make the crack
appear more two-dimensional or linear.
Step 4 Ceramic layering
The tooth is built to full contour with the
corresponding Incisal, Effect and Transpa
materials.
Step 5 Finishing
Following light polymerization as
prescribed by the SR Adoro Instructions
for Use, the tooth surface is finished and
polished using carbide burs, diamond
finishers and rubber/silicone polishers.
